ar X iv : h ep - l at / 9 80 90 22 v 1 4 S ep 1 99 8 1 Hybrid and Orbitally Excited Mesons in Full QCD ∗

We present results for the hybrid meson spectrum produced by gluonic excitations in full QCD using Wilson fermions. For the spin-exotic mesons with J P C = 1 −+ , 0 +− , and 2 +− we find the lightest state to be 1 −+ with a mass of 1.9(2) GeV. Results obtained for orbitally excited mesons are also presented.

We report results on fB and semi-leptonic B decay form factors using NRQCD. We investigate 1/M scaling behavior of decay amplitudes. For fB Effect of higher order relativistic correction terms are also studied.

We present an exact local bosonic algorithm for the simulation of dynamical fermions in lattice QCD. We show that this algorithm is a viable alternative to the Hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm.

We measure correlations appropriate for favour-singlet mesons using dynamical quark configurations from UKQCD. Improved methods of evaluating the disconnected quark diagrams are presented. The scalar and pseu-doscalar meson channels are explored, with special reference to the mixing of scalar mesons with scalar glueballs.

ar X iv : h ep - l at / 9 90 90 26 v 1 3 S ep 1 99 9 1 Chiral symmetry breaking from Ginsparg - Wilson fermions ∗

We calculate the large-volume and small-mass dependences of the quark condensate in quenched QCD using Neuberger's operator. We find good agreement with the predictions of quenched chiral perturbation theory, enabling a determination of the chiral lagrangian parameter Σ, up to a multiplicative renormalization.
